The Berlin Stories by Christopher Isherwood
5.0
A Good Retrospective
Considering the current times we are living in, I thought now would be an excellent time to read a book that chronicals the citizenry at the time of the rise to power of a dangerous, mad man. Although he speaks very little of Der Führer it is fascinating how many of his storm troopers remind me of people who side today with another ill-tempered, unbalanced, "leader", right down to the actual words coming out of the Nazis mouths.
Excellent read, definitely going to read Christopher and His Kind.
