I think this is the only book (yet) to add something to the show. Don't get me wrong, I still believe the show did the characters justice and was way more captivating than the books but at least here their relationship is not as pressured as it was in the show and it took its time to blossom. Nonetheless, everything else is way better portrayed in the show in my humble opinion.
