I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki by Baek Se-hee

3.0

I struggled to relate to some parts, but I guess that's understandable. On the other hand, some parts were a little too relatable, and it awes me that something you think is unique to you can happen to people living entirely different lives, in different countries.

While I found the book very quotable at parts, I was surprised by the therapist's responses sometimes. I'd have disagreed at certain points in the book, but maybe that's a conversation that I need to have with my own therapist lol.

I also admire how the author has chosen to put out such deeply personal issues and conversations out to the world, for everyone to see and read and judge and form opinions. I don't think I could ever do that tbh
