This is the 2nd book in the series and I loved it! The scenario was similar as the first book, at first, but there was a whole different plot past the first few pages.
Seerin is introduced at the end of the 1st book and his story is picked up in the 2nd one.
He goes to a human settlement to punish the humans for overhunting. He catches Nelle in the act of hunting with her bow & arrow.
So the next day, he goes to punish her by lashing.
She receives a punishment of 5 lashes, but after the 3rd, Seerin can’t stand it anymore and takes her with him.
Nelle is an odd girl, but it was so refreshing. Her and Luna’s personalities are stark contrasts.
I almost felt like Nelle reminded me of Looney Luna from Harry Potter in a lot of ways. She doesn’t care when people stare at her and gossip, and she is very innocent in regards to her emotions and her interactions with others.
