This is another great cozy mystery by Kelley Kaye! Emma and Leslie are back to solve the murder of a student. I did enjoy that Kaye addressed issues like bullying, and that sometimes schools aren’t given the resources they need to deal with such issues.

There is a minor theme around religion in this book, which could get uncomfortable for some readers. I think Kaye addressed the topic fairly, but if you like to avoid religion completely in your books, this one isn’t for you.

The classic love-triangle trope appeared - I would have to say this is the one thing that annoys me. It always feels unnecessary.

I look forward to more from Kelley Kaye in the Chalkboard Outlines series.
