Dreaming in Cuban by Cristina García

4.0

When I started reading this I thought it was going to be another US-biased book on Cuba but it turned out to be a very rounded view of the situation, with its complexities– no surprise after I found out that the author has a master from John Hopkins International Studies. The book also talks about gender roles and generational differences and it's overall a great book, not dense at all despite all its themes.
