The Romantic by Riley Hart

3.0

Elliot was such a charmer and I loved seeing the way he so naturally gave into his feelings for Parker. However I found myself getting very frustrated with Parker at times. Even prior to their accidental marriage, he is so set in his mindset of Elliot being a flirt and not wanting anything outside of sex with him that he closes himself off to their growing feelings and connection. He holds a fair amount of judgement towards Elliot when he talks about never being in love or it ever being something he's thought about. He chalks it up to Elliot being a player, but over the course of the story Elliot comes to realize he's probably on the ace/demiromantic spectrum. I wouldn't judge Parker for not considering that if it weren't for the fact he co-hosts a podcast about sexuality and relationships. But he's so set on his beliefs about love and relationships that those ideas hurt Elliot and himself at tims over the course of the book.
