i'm actually mad about the ending. as bad as it may sound, i really don't care about clary's mother or her waking up or even her survival. i'm sorry but her character is so underdeveloped. but that's not even what the problem is with this godforsaken book. IN THIS BOOK, I REPEAT, IN THIS BOOK, THE TWO MAIN LOVE INTERESTS ARE SIBLINGS!!!! SIBLINGS! WHY IS THIS EVEN A PLOT CHOICE FROM CLARE, I DON'T UNDERSTAND. it's so fucked up, you can't just skim over the fact that they were dating or whatever tf, and then are anounced as siblings and are desperately trying to keep their pants on around each other. i just don't get why she didn't leave this "obstacle" out, there are other ways to forbid your characters from love than a SIBLINGS PLOT TWIST. and the blurb?!?!?! THIS IS NOT FORBIDDEN LOVE THIS IS INCEST CORE.

however..... HOWEVER, i will say that clare's world building and some character descriptions make it very hard not to get attached to the world. but in the end, all i have to say is, fuck this book.
