American King by Sierra Simone

5.0

Starts with Ash telling a dream, a dream that doesn't include Embry and that fucking breaks me because he left Ash again and this time due to a threat. How is my heart handling this? I have no clue.

Ash and Embry's last phone call is hot but with that hotness comes an emotion of love and despair and their mutual masturbation session is then turned into something of longing and heart wrenching loss.

Ash had, the keyword being HAD, to marry Abilene because she is a bitch and she raped him and she blackmailed him, but BUT after their wedding ceremony, Embry is called to gues wheeerreee( yes, the White House) by Ash through Belvedere...and what happens to/with Embry after his arrival is a scene that you yourself have to read to unfold. But the vulnerable moments shared between the three (Embry, Ash and Greer) is some kind of creation of its own.

Again, American King contains many elements where we see so mich of their past, present and their near future together. It is so beautiful that I cry everytime I see their bond, the passion they hold for one another.

I think that the connection past and present kinda created an even more suspicious and mysterious air around the story. The prophecy, the feeling that everything is happening for the last time. OH FUCK! I JUST REALIZED WHILE WRITTING THE LAST LINE ABOUT ACHILLES AND PATROCLUS...OMG! I think I am gonna have a heart attack. Oh my my! Sierra Simone, you are a Queen. The ending???? Fabulous, wasn't expecting it turn that way...and I cried really, so hard. Worth the read guys, worth the read. I loved this book, these characters, the story, this trilogy throughout and will probably hold a special place in my heart, I will be thinking about this trilogy for a long time now.
