Without saying too much, I’ll be the first to admit that β€œThe Drowning Woman” is a familiar trope. But honey, I am just a sucker for the wealthy woman in distress plot and a good domestic thriller! I’ll read all of them that are thrown my way!

I couldn’t put this book down! Despite its shortcomings, it is a β€œpage turner” that kept me hooked from the first line. Are there some ridiculous things that happen? Absolutely. However, I have read plenty of books that were more farfetched than this one. If you can suspend belief long enough to enjoy the ride, this one is worthy of a spot on your tbr even though I think everyone but me has read this already.

There were several loose ends I wish had been tied up and things that were mentioned to propel the plot that were never addressed again that bugged me, but I kind of wonder if that is because there might be a sequel… or even a prequel?

I knew a certain character was Bad News Bears. I didn’t fully work out the person’s involvement though and was shocked by the way it all unfolded. After that big twist was revealed, I did guess most of the rest of the other minor twists. It didn’t take away from the enjoyment though!

I liked this audiobook! I always love when there are multiple narrators for different POVs. However, nothing would be missed by foregoing the audiobook for print.
