I was really liking this book in the first half, but the second half just fell apart for me. There was so much happening that just felt pointless, and I actually got very annoyed at the
Spoiler false positive pregnancy test. It just felt so flippant and unnecessary and triggering for anyone who experiences infertility.
I felt as if this book was trying to push the boundaries and hit all the triggers and it just made me uncomfortable because they didn't feel necessary. It just became sort of a grab bag of triggers: sexual assualt, pregnancy, kidnapping, stalking, sex tapes, drug/alcohol addiction.... Our main female character was this spunky, funny person and then all this dark stuff was just thrown in. It just didn't fit to me.
