This book is everything I have ever wanted. The dialogue, the setting, the romance, the found family, everything about this book. It is beautiful, and it is sad, and it feels very real despite the time travel aspect. I think that is one of the reasons that this book works so well. It is asking you to believe that a woman could get stuck on a train for 45 years, but that is also the least interesting thing about Jane. It’s fascinating, but what is more important is Jane’s story, and August’s story, and the effect that they all have on the people around them. This book is at times heartbreaking, and at times hilarious, and sometimes it is both at the same time. I truly cannot recommend it enough.
