had so many problems with this book that I cannot, in good conscience, rate it higher than this.
it was smutty and silly in the first half. and I genuinely love a quick, fun, and easy read!
but the second half was really hard for me to read (plot felt very scattered/borderline non-existent, there was a lot of decisions made that were quickly reneged, I did not like the epilogue at all because it felt way too soon for her to have sidelined her professional aspirations [maybe if the time skip had been farther in the future?]).
that list is non-conclusive, and I came close to DNF'ing this book several times, but I hate DNF'ing books and I held out hope that I would enjoy it liked I enjoyed the first half but it just did not happen. if you're thinking about DNF'ing, trust your gut!!
