Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

3.0

It’s strange to talk about such a beloved and complex book with such ease. I think this book is not only important but very disturbing in its own way. It reminds me of The Handmaid’s Tale and The Book Thief, and I find that to be extra strange because both of those books take place in completely different times… yet there is a factor in common: oppression.
I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I would’ve wanted to and I envy those in my freshman class in high school that were able to get more enjoyment out of it than myself. It’s a good read for those who like adult dystopias and social commentary.
