Dear God. Dear Bones. Dear Yellow. by Noor Hindi

dark emotional reflective fast-paced

4.75

Noor Hindi’s words are a firecracker mix of intersectionality within her identities, harsh indictment of the colonizers of the Palestinian people (both the Pissraelis and the Americans), and a bittersweet relationship between her mother and the patriarchy. I loved how all parts of this collection showed the range of Hindi’s writing, oscillating between short form and long form poetry, that took writers from the emotional landscape of rage to the USCIS room with her grandmother. Overall a powerful poetry collection and one everyone ought to read.
