I will start with saying I didn’t hate this book and I don’t think it was bad as such. The problem is that it just fell flat. I went into it expecting to get this creepy atmosphere with tension being built as people are in danger from this unknown person, who could be one of them, instead I got characters were very lack lustre without much personality except for what came from their past. I predicted some of the moments before they happened, including the end reveal (10-20 pages before it happened) and the final reveal and explanation had me rolling my eyes a bit. I will say it was fast paced, easy to read and follow but I think the length and the focus on the fast paced meant we lost the atmosphere that should have been there. Overall a meh read.
