The last 3 chapters or so were good. I like the intention behind this book, I think... but it just tried to do way too much. I liked the human impact parts but I feel like the author tried to discuss too many things - race, racism, rape, transgenderism, classism...it didn't work. Also the writing wasn't great. Also mantas are filter feeders, not "high on the food chain" as mentioned. Overall it was a really bad book. Big struggle to get through this.
