I really don't know about this one tbh, I really enjoyed the first half, really disliked the first plot twist, then I liked where it was going after and then I hated the final plot twist. I wanted more men ain't shit and looks at the system then I got and I'm surprised that it's praised for its representation of mental health when it's a VERY stereotypical form of representation. The first half I would have agreed looks at mental health really well, but the second half felt like pharma propaganda and some absolute nonsense representation of more stigmatized illnesses. Also, Jas gave very token BFF. But at the same time, it kept me hooked and I really liked the writing style. I could see it as a movie in my head-- Rooney Mara would kill it as Kate. So, mixed bag. I did like the way it handles misogyny and its impact on your psyche.
