I'm intrigued by the Shadowhunters and the Clave and really, really wish that after reading all three books I had been given more information about them. I enjoyed all the little glimpses "downworld" and can generally forgive a lot if I can appreciate the universe an author creates.
But I cannot forgive Clary. She's annoying and useless and gets distracted by a cute guy for ridiculously long periods of time considering her mother was ATTACKED by demons and is MISSING.
Barring Valentine, our most complicated character is Jace. And that's a sad thing to say considering he's an all-too-typical "Imma be an asshole because Daddy never loved me" teenage boy.
Ugh. I just can't.
