This book captivated me more than I expected it to. It's quite poetic for historical fiction (the author is also a poet) and I liked that sometimes but not all the time. I might need to seek out a biography to find out more about Isabella's real life--as a character in this novel she was very compelling. I also may need a visit to the museum sometime soon!
