Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

5.0

This book could not have been more delightful. Having squared off against girl-ish literature early in life, I first ate my words with Jane Austen. But for Anne of Green Gables, serious penance is due. This was magnificent. As if Anne herself weren't thoroughly worth the read, L.M. Montgomery's way with words will light the eyes of any lover of literature. I can't wait to read this one day with little girls in my life.
