From the prologue of this book, I was hooked! The beginning had me so STRESSED for Siren, but I knew she was a strong FMC!
This book was a wild ride that I loved. The grumpiness, forced proximity, always watching, and everything else was soo so good. Deacons love for watching was so hot and the way Candice described these scenes was perfection. Replaying a moment 47 times was so unhinged but also was so cute 🥺. Deacon and Siren have such great chemistry and I'm a sucker for a slow build up. Also a tiny bit obsessed with him always calling her Brat 😅 I loved everything about this entire book!
Candice has such a way with words and this book was incredible. I loved The Thief and the Painter, and I loved this book even more. I know we are set up for Alexi next and I can't wait to learn more about him and his secret past!
