Dirty Lying Faeries by Sabrina Blackburry
2.0
Thea is dragged to an art gallery event by her extrovert fashion writer friend. She meets a mysterious man and starts seeing things soon after. Then she's told she's changed to a fae and must choose which of the courts to settle in.
Kind of an interesting (if not new) premise at the start but really quickly fizzled for me. The writing was just kind of meh, the characters lacked depth. Thea just seemed to react completely perfectly in every situation. It was a bit 50 shades coded without the spice.
It kind of bothered me how much she fawned over apologizing for "keeping things" from Devin, I think she had a right to be suspicious of this sudden new world she was a part of??
As a note - the description for this book is incorrect?? She HAS always been human and is changed by magic
