I remember really enjoying this when I read it in school (many years ago now), and even now was a pretty good read. I liked the writing, and I was engaged for the first 80% or so of the book, although none of the characters really resonated, the concept is interesting and I was curious to find out what would happen. The end of the book seemed a little bit disjointed, there was some tying up of loose ends but also some conflict added to leave us on an open ended cliffhanger. I’ll continue the series, as I think it’s a fascinating (and creepily feasible) world, and I want to know what happens next! Hoping to connect better with the characters in the next book
Graphic: Body shaming, Bullying, Emotional abuse, and Dysphoria
