2nd read (05/11/2022). Before I finished this book I’d did not realize it has been exactly 3 years since I read and finished this book, what are the odds? Anyways I love this book, this series. The problem with the first time I read it was that I didn’t remember or understand what this book was about or this series. Now, as an older person, I wanted to actually comprehend what was happening and I wanted something that I have read before for nostalgia. The only thing that irks me a little about Watson and Holmes (well there’s a lot of things but it adds spice to the book so I deal week enough) is that Watson just kind of let’s Holmes treat him like shit. Like this girl is saying how useless he is and Watson just stands there like “oh, okay” and deals with it. Idk doesn’t rub me the right way and I know it’s going to get worse (from what I recall with my memory about a book a read three years ago). Anyways, I love these characters and this series and all I want to do is slap charlotte and tell her to be amazing because Watson deserves everything he ever wants but she doesn’t deserve him.
