I so wanted to love this book. It's enemies to lovers - work place romance and I LOVEEEE that trope. The premise was a perfect set up for all of the tension that it did not deliver on.
The couple had zero chemistry together, MC was all wishy-washy with the hot and cold behavior. She was giving me a whiplash from it. I get that she lost the job to him but HELLO SINCE WHEN IS THE EMPLOYEE THE ONE WHO DECIDES.
The thing I liked was the friendships that we saw build.
But overall the book was a major collection of things I had issues with
( believing the sleazy guy that you said you don't trust at all was the major pain in my head).
It just read majorly immature and disconnected.
