A great second instalment in the series, moves very quickly and makes you want to keep reading. A lot of action and some great character development as Alanna starts to appreciate femininity too. I really see where Pearce was coming from when she called Alanna gender fluid. It's a bit dated and the age gap romances feel a bit creepy but only when you think about it closely, in the context of the book it all feels fine.
