Rywka's Diary: The Writings of a Jewish Girl from the Lodz Ghetto by Rywka Lipszyc

5.0

Read in conjunction with research into the Lodz Ghetto for a grad school project, I was not able to finish completely, but a really interesting find, I'd like to go back and finish it when I have more time. Rywka's diary was found in a pile of discarded possessions at Auschwitz and kept safe for many years before publication. Though several diaries of young people in the Holocaust exist and have been published, this one gives a unique eye to the workers (primarily in textiles) in the Lodz Ghetto, the second largest during WWII.
