Deep Six by Clive Cussler

2.0

At best, this book should have two stars. The science behind this book is bafflingly wrong. I know suspension of belief is something in any book, but memory transference and mind controlling micro chips? The science Cussler used was utter bullshit, to put it nicely. Fortunately, he does seem to be - at least mildly - starting to make his female characters have actual depth. Less fortunately, this book does make some racial assumptions that annoyed the piss out of me.

Otherwise, the plot is half decent. The boat swap was great. Obvious, but great. The underground ship bunker was cool, very spy movie-esque. But the whole reason for the plot centered on some really bad science that I just can’t buy. Sorry, but I’m not really that sorry.

I definitely don’t recommend this book.
