Yikes.
How about I start off with the good stuff? This is evidently the third in a series and I didn't realize it until I came here to do this review. So these books are VERY stand alone. You aren't missing anything by not having read the first two. Also, if you're a fan of Sands' Argeneau series, the pacing and many of the story elements are exactly like those in that series.
But. This story is completely ridiculous. I mean, the Argeneau series IS pretty ridiculous itself, but maybe since we're talking about vampires, it's a little easier to accept. I mean, Jane's last name is SPYRUS. REALLY??? Then there's the fact that they're tracking a used tampon with a tracker in it. And THAT'S one of the more believable inventions in this book. Yeah.
