This is a silly read that nods at an admittedly niche audience. I enjoyed the irreverant winks at the mysteries of the universe, the importance of language to our existence and experience, and the completely bonkers plot line.
That said.
Despite its (rather excessive) length, there is next to no character development. All of the characters and their interpersonal relationships are flatter than Kansas. (If you're here for the gay bits, they're a stale, tacked-on afterthought. Zero stars for the gay bits.)
All in all, I look forward to see what this author does in the future.
