夢みる太陽 3 [Yume Miru Taiyou 3] by Ichigo Takano

4.0

Yes to more character development, even for Shimana who tends to act a little immature for her age.

She’s naive, childish, too dependable towards others to ‘save’ and/or look after her, a bit gullible and is a hopeless romantic. Shimana tends to be ungrateful at times when treated kindly because of her high expectations for her new unrequited love, which she needs to work on soon.

Yet, even if I don’t like her behavior much, it’s difficult to not empathize with her issues since I’m a lot like Shimana that way. It’s as if I’m looking through my own reflection on another form, it’s a bit unsettling realization to think about.

Moreover, I’ve come to like the cold hearted Taiga since the 2nd volume as he appears the most mature from the group and handles conflicts without letting his emotions take the lead.

His role as the elderly brother in the household made Taiga likable despite his ‘woman hating’ personality and apparent vices. From here on, we’re able to witness he’s got a soft side too, it just so happens he has trouble expressing them well like the others do.

Zen’s got to have the biggest change from them all here. He’s finally gotten an answer regarding his newly discovered love for someone as well. Here’s to hoping he can move on eventually and find a new girl he deserves for himself.
