The Coaching Hours by Sara Ney

4.0

This book starts a little different than normal. We get the POV from a few different guys whom all could be the hero in the end... until we read a little further and find out exactly what kind of guys they are, but even then, with situations arising, we can't be certain who the heroine will end up in the end. It keeps you on your toes. While there are laughs throughout it, there aren't really any laugh out loud moments. The vibe tends to be a little on the somber side. Not all sad, but not all sunshine and roses. The relationships between the girl and the boys, seems to pick up and move quickly. Granted not seriously for most of them. The story also moves quickly. The heroine and the one boy whom she does get the closest too, seemed to skip some of the emotional aspects. The two became good friends before becoming intimate, but it felt like it lacked something as far as their feelings go. I mean we got to see them become close, but there was never any relationship talk, or talk about their feelings towards one another or anything like that. I felt like one minute they were friends, the next they were in love. As a reader, it didn't feel like they were in love. All in all, it was an enjoyable read and it kept your attention. There is some sexual content, but that isn't the main focus of the romance.
