Fair Warning by Michael Connelly

4.0

Connelly delivers again. This is the third book featuring Jack McEvoy and is a break from Connelly’s popular Bosch and Haller series. When we pick up Jack’s story he’s moved on from Velvet Coffin to working at a consumer watchdog site, Fair Warning. His career and life seem to be in a bit of a slump.

Once the story line starts to develop, hang on to your hat. The investigation walks the reader through an examination of the commercial genetics industry and how the data from these sites can be used for many reasons including criminal actions.

The plot has the classic Connelly twists and continues the development of Jack and Rachel’s characters. With a tight flow it was easy to read and hard to put down.

Be sure to check out the author’s note after finishing the book.
