I wanted to like this - I like the meet-cute/steam, and I think most of the book is well written. However...
I cringed at the overuse of the word “girl.” It even mentions a girl giving someone a blowjob. We’re all adults here, we can say “women.” There’s so much immaturity in this - Dylan likes to slap, violently, publicly, and often. And the back and forth fighting is repetitive and childish. She calls Reese’s ex girlfriend a whore, thinks that Reese himself is a whore, everyone is a whore. Lots of talk about cutting off her ex boyfriend’s balls, but zero talk about calling the police for assault. Parts are very overdramatic, especially toward the end. It becomes less and less novel and more fanfiction quality.
Overall I was disappointed.
