What a solid book - Mr. Sparks you've done it again! This one was a solid 4.5-stars but I can't bring myself to upgrade it to a 5 because the first part of the book took me a bit to get into.

I love that this novel was more of a thriller than his typical romances, loved it! I did find that Mike, despite the fact that he's supposed to be the leading love interest and definitely not the creepy guy, he was still pretty creepy until they got together, and even then I wasn't into it. I'm glad this story didn't hinge on him so much as a person but her and Julie as a package.

Also, dogs. I will always cry for dogs.

I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone out there who needs something a little different in their life this summer.
