Bound by Love by Cora Reilly

4.0

The only thing I didn't like about Bound by Honor was that it had to end! SO, I was so happy to have more of Aria and Luca's story.

This book also has dual POV's, unlike our first, so we get to see the feelings and actions of both characters. There is a lot here- we have some insight into what happened right after BBH, we get A LOT more into how Luca and Aria fared her secret keeping when it came to her trying to help her siblings, we get more how the sisters try to stay in touch with Fabiana, we see Luca and Aria's marriage evolve and face challenges, and we see if it can survive a heartbreaking ultimate test.

Overall, we span several years here (and my only complain is really at times I'm not sure how many years have passed between certain chapters/mini-stories within) we get a window into some of our other beloved characters (especially Gianna and Matteo), and we lay the groundwork for the epic Camorra stories starting with Fabiano's tale (BRILLIANT CORA, BRILLIANT!)!!

We have the same steamy chemistry between our beloved Aria and Luca- we see Luca soften, we see Aria get stronger, and we also see how their connection evolves into a true partnership grounded in deep love, respect, trust, and devotion. And, like their last book, we explore deeper Luca's intense need for trust, Aria's tension between giving her all to Luca and protecting her family, and the repercussions of half-truths and miscommunication.

I would read about Luca and Aria all day long if I could, and I only wish I could give this 10 stars. Thank you, Cora, for continuing their story, evolving their relationship so beautifully, and creating a meaningful and beautiful bridge between two worlds as you start the spin-off series. I can't wait for it!
