Designing Your Work Life: How to Thrive and Change and Find Happiness at Work by Bill Burnett, Dave Evans

5.0

An excellent follow up to their first book, designing your life, you can read it as a sequel or a stand-alone. Most importantly, this book is for everyone who can’t up and quit their job, or, more importantly, don’t really want to. Some would like to find renewed interest and passion right where they are, and this book walk you though how. Again, with exercises and helpful anecdotes, it helps you kick-start your own creative juices.

Debunking the myth that you “should” be happy to be working, whatever your job, or that only low-wage workers are miserable at their jobs- Bill and Dave drive home the point that it’s not about “should” it’s about “why?”

Curiosity is the first step, and it opens a whole new world for you.

Excellent read for everyone, really, but will be of particular interest to designers, quality improvement people, or others familiar with technical vs adaptive challenges.
