Wow guys, it’s finally kind of getting good. Except in the process, my heart feels like it’s being completely ripped out. This book has a lot of shining moments - the snowball fight, Halloween, basically every Orion or Gabriel scene (especially Orion’s birthday). But also just had a lot of the plot going nowhere - the Seth blackmail situation, the back and forth with Darius and Tory, Caleb basically not making any progress as a character. The end really made me mad though, I could kind of see it from a mile away (although that didn’t make it hurt less). You’re telling me that Orion is DEAD? The amount of happiness was getting a bit suspicious. And of course I knew that Darius and Tory would end up being Star-Crossed. This feels very much like when Mr. Darcy confesses to Elizabeth Bennet and is shocked when she refuses his hand in marriage. I’m curious to see what happens next, are we actually going to see Orion back or is she going to end up with Seth? Will Darius get another divine moment (obviously)? I’m so mad that I’m now so invested. The best characters in this book are Darcy and Orion, and if this doesn’t work out, I really have no idea what I’m reading this series for at this point.
