The Long Hard Road Out of Hell by Neil Strauss, Marilyn Manson

2.0

I've like Manson's music for a while...probably since late into Antichrist Superstar. I always kind of viewed him as a sideshow act as far as his appearance and stage show went. I never believed that he actually believed his act.

Sometimes, Manson can say things that are incredibly insightful. And at other times, he's decorating a deaf girl with raw and lunch meat. Yes, it's really that kind of book. In the end, this book just kind of disgusted me. And sometimes it just bored me. There was a big section filled with short stories and poems that Manson wrote back in the day that were just yawn-inducing. Then there was the chapter that goes on and on about weird dreams. Also yawn-inducing. So, yeah. I could definitely have done without reading this one.
