Alice's Book: How the Nazis stole my grandmothers cookbook by Karina Urbach, Jamie Bulloch

This is an interesting book on the author’s grandmother (Alice) life as a Jew in Vienna at the time of Nazi occupation. As a published author her books were subject of Nazi policy ‘Aryanise’ books and remove true authorship.

Seeing the impact of this little known policy on an individual’s life was interesting, though hearing it told based on a document produced by Alice for her family and blanks filled in by other family members and documents leads to a level of detachment. Interesting read and would have loved to have seen links to where the books could be found, appropriately attributed.
