I think this is going to be one of my favorite books ever. I kept forgetting I was reading a novel... Nahr and her family and friends felt so real. I've never been to Palestine, Jordan, or Kuwait but Abulhawa described them so vividly and with such love and care that I felt like I was there, and had as much respect and passion for the land as the characters did. This book also contained some of the most eloquent, tender, and accurate descriptions of what it's like to be in love that I have ever read.
