I was excited to read this because I enjoy Ruby's other series, but this one was disappointing in comparison. The dragons and the mystery surrounding them was interesting, but I didn't like the relationship dynamics of the couple. I also didn't like how bleak the world is described and how the only thing that women are apparently good for is sex (lots of mentions of violence and whoring of women by the humans).
