A Lady's Guide to Gossip and Murder by Dianne Freeman

1.0

The story felt monotonous for the most part and the mystery plot felt like a side piece opposed to the main event.

Frances comes across flat and one dimensional and how does she not understand George likes her when he keeps asking her to marry him?! How frustrating… and why Freeman?!? Whyyyyyy?

Most of the characters don’t feel fleshed out whatsoever and they make cameos every so often but doesn’t add to any part of the story.

Again the ending was super anticlimactic and I was glad it was over when she finally said yes.
