The Last Dragon by Polly Ho-Yen

adventurous inspiring reflective

4.5

Yara has never cared much about dragons, until one day she finds herself in possession of an egg – the last egg of the last dragon.

It becomes her mission to protect this egg, when she discovers it could be the key to helping her sick sister.

We join Yara and her new friends in an epic race against time to save a sister, a species & change the course of the future forever...

Reading this book took me right back to my childhood when all I wanted to read were books written by the absolute legend, Michael Morpurgo. The Last Dragon gave me all the Morpurgo vibes, with the perfect balance of adventure, important messages and a heart-wrenching plot

The Last Dragon is a really lovely mild fantasy, with lots of important environmental messages and a call to action to protect our wild spaces and the creatures that depend on them – whether they be dragons or butterflies

A huge thank you to @ed.pr & @_knightsof for the review copy, and for having me on the blog tour!
