This book was, well, eh.

I like the characters. I liked the premise. It just felt weirdly paced. A lot of the elements felt pretty rushed, while other parts dragged a little.

I wish Roman's character would have been explored more. I felt like his backstory was just sort of dropped into the story without really exploring what motivated him. It was like we were being told to empathize with him instead of liking him on our own.

All in all, I enjoyed this, but not as much as the first book. It was still a good read.
