11%: there’s something sus here. theory: the assistant is there to minimise parental contact. she probably tells mena’s parents she’s too busy to talk to them too

15%: ugh of course they’ve been conditioned to think it’s their fault if a guy assults them 🙄😡 i haven’t read The Handmaid’s Tale, but this book is sounding similar in misogyny
