I’m judging this book purely on the introduction and the footnotes rather than the play itself. While some points were really interesting when it came to themes and adaptations, the accessibility when it came to the different versions wasn’t great. It was very laborious and needed deciphering. But that could be because I don’t have any prior knowledge to the editions of Romeo and Juliet.
