The Potter's Field by Andrea Camilleri

5.0

This was a winding journey through mafia conflict and personal turmoil. Was there more food in this one? Perhaps, perhaps not. Salvo did lean into the fish a bit more. I wondered where the case was going more than usual once the obvious connections were shown to be false leads....although all of the leads really ended up weaving together in a way. Looks like Sinagra might not live much more into the next novel, and maybe this was the end of an era for them all. The passage into old age is in the front of Salvo's mind as it has been for the past few books, but this one seems to be him starting to transition into being okay with change. He is not an old man but in many ways he is.... Still not fond of the Livia situation, and I'm not sure that will actually smooth over into future books. Here's hoping Ingrid comes back again soon.
