Did not finish book. Stopped at 12%.
From the start the book comes off as racist. If the author was Chinese I might be okay with it, but she's white. I've also read reviews that indicate she has a poor understanding of Chinese and it seems like she didn't use a sensitivity reader. It reminds me a lot of the problems in the Enders Shadow series by OSC.
